A Nativity Scene was erected in the central square of Criciuma, a small town in Santa Caterina state, in Brazil. During the night the folks came across this scene. An abandoned dog was looking for a comfortable, protected place to sleep.
He chose in Mangerbaby Jesus as his comfort. No one had the heart to send him away so he was there all night. Once again an animal gives us a reminder during the Christmas season to draw near to the one who truly comforts and protects. It is no wonder that the dog breed is a “Shepherd!”
